‘Jazz in Hornby’ – Up Date

Thanks to everyone who came in March to see Jamie Brownfield and co.; an evening of great exciting jazz.  It was sad that due to illness Tom Kincaid couldn’t be with us on piano; but every cloud has a silver lining and Jamie’s ‘number one dep’ Paul Kilvington, no stranger to  the J in H audience, absolutely excelled, and as usual, in moments of high passion, stood up and wrestled the long suffering piano.

Now, as you all know, Deco Delight will make a return visit on Friday 10th May, full personnel to be confirmed, but Peter Eddowes will lead from his drum kit:  Rosie Harrison, vocals, clarinet, and alto sax, and Pete Lindup, vocals and trumpet will be included to give us “Spiffing foot-tapping music from the 20s, 30s and 40s”

Very recently I have been able to confirm the following dates, all return visits by great bands: Friday 9th August, the annual reunion of the Chris Coull Quintet, Saturday 23rd November, the Jazz Worriers, co- led by  Dean Masser and Neil Yates, and then, turning the page to 2020, February 15th, the Tim Kliphuis Trio.

So there you, bags of time to ensure that nothing prevents you from coming to at least, some of the above. It will all be the real thing.
