Thank you so much for your enthusiastic support for the campaign.
Our chairman Bob McGachie has had our bid acknowledged and is now actively pushing for a definitive timetable and will report back shortly. Ideally we would like the council to re-open the pool and work with us – in partnership – to extend use, improve facilities and revenues. This would be great but if we are to achieve a successful outcome we will need all the help we can get.
In the meantime, our share pledge campaign is a really positive indicator of strength of feeling, thank you so much to all who have pledged shares. We really appreciate this support and with current pledges received or promised we are well on the way to beating our original ambitious target.. well done!
If you have not yet returned your pledge forms can we ask please to let us have them soon so that we can record your support and push for an early re-opening of the pool?.
We are having a great deal of interest in the 1950s fund raising night on August 12th and would love to see you there if at all possible.
We hope to have a record breaking amount by then and be able to make a very important announcement about future direction and funding.
Come along and enjoy the night. Tickets can be purchased from Hornby Post Office/Tearooms in person or from the Institute (Monday to Saturday 10-12) where you can also reserve tickets (015242-22227) and collect later.
All ticket sales go direct to the Save our Pool fighting fund and there will also be a raffle on the night to help meet overheads – donations to this would be appreciated .
Thank you again, if you have any concerns or questions about pledging, party night tickets or anything else, do please contact us on –
